arvato Press Release
28/11/2014, The international services provider arvato has further expanded its footprint in Asia.
Three months after the opening of the logistics center in Hong Kong, Mitat Aydindag, Managing Director of arvato Asia, officially inaugurated the new distribution center in Bangkok / Thailand with a representative of the German Consulate, clients and suppliers during a traditional monk ceremony. “arvato Asia has long been looking at having a strong presence in increasingly important markets such as in Thailand. The setup of this distribution center is timely and will position arvato competitively for further growth”, he says.
In Thailand arvato will provide integrated logistics services to international clients from the High-tech and Consumer Goods industry with more than 30 employees on a 14 hours day, 365 days a year. The new 22,000 ft² warehouse and distribution site in the Bangna Industrial District is positioned strategically between Bangkok city and Suvarnabhum airport, to serve customer bases with a 2-4 hours lead in Greater Bangkok.
Due to its central location in South East Asia and its growth rates, Thailand is a very attractive market for arvato to grow their current High-tech and Consumer Goods client base. Additionally the gradual move towards liberalization for cross border business activities within ASEAN member countries supports arvato in its future trade and investments.
“This new logistics center enables arvato to offer our clients prime conditions for domestic and export distribution within Thailand and Asia, as all signs are indicating growth for the region,” says Yao Wen Chang, Director arvato Thailand.
